Palazzo Chiericati is on the square, Teatro Olimpico is just beside it, and the historic centre opens immediately beyond. At number 35, beside the latter, Hosen gives the area a contemporary food stop without requiring a detour from the main sights and has introduced a very nice reason to spend the morning here.
THE SPOT
The bakery concentrates on naturally leavened bread, French style laminated pastry and specialty coffee. Corner describes a baker trained in French pastry and coffee supplied by a Florence roaster, while Gambero Rosso has already included Hosen among its recognised Caffè&Bar, awarding it a Premio Foglia in its 2025 evaluation.
Croissants, fruit pastries and savoury focaccia share the counter with espresso, filter coffee, matcha and seasonal drinks. The room follows the same contemporary vocabulary, stainless steel furniture, concrete surfaces and very little decoration.
