The Italian Exclusive
Vicenza opens the Dirty Three’s European tour on 27 October 2026. Their only Italian concert also inaugurates the twentieth season of the Teatro Comunale Città di Vicenza and forms part of AMP Festival, the city’s programme celebrating sixty years of psychedelia.
A remarkable addition to Vicenza’s October cultural calendar, and a compelling reason for international music lovers to plan an autumn city break in Italy.
The Dirty Three
Formed in Melbourne in 1992, the Dirty Three are Warren Ellis on violin, Mick Turner on guitar and Jim White on drums. Ellis is internationally known for his work with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, while the trio has built its own reputation through a particularly expressive combination of folk, improvisation and experimental rock.
Their 2024 album Love Changes Everything, the first in twelve years, received an 8.0 rating from Pitchfork. The music moves between delicate melodies, distortion and formidable rhythmic intensity, with the three instruments in constant conversation.
