Agriturismo CantaRana offers an unusual countryside stay in northern Vicenza, Italy. The restored seventeenth century farmhouse stands on a family property of approximately four hectares, where certified Ciliegia di Marostica IGP cherries are grown and sold directly during May and June. Guests can stay in self contained accommodation surrounded by the orchard and garden. [1][2]

If your idea of an Italian spring holiday involves waking up on a working farm, CantaRana has a particularly good reason to visit. The family grows protected Marostica cherries alongside apricots, pears, apples and plums. In May and June, freshly harvested cherries are available directly from the producers. [2]

The property also has an interesting environmental story. Its owners have replanted native vegetation beside the stream and devoted one hectare to restoring woodland typical of the Vicenza plain. [1] The seventeenth century rural house offers an apartment with a private entrance and a studio of approximately 30 square metres with a furnished terrace. For a spring stay in the province of Vicenza, it is an opportunity to experience the cherry growing countryside from the farm itself.
