About
On the first Sunday of the month, the main square and porticoes of Noventa Vicentina fill with antiques, old books, collectables, porcelain, vintage clothes and objects from another century. On many of the same Sundays, Villa Barbarigo opens its doors for free visits.
THE STORY
Noventa Vicentina is in the southern part of the province, where the Berici hills give way to flatter country towards the Euganean Hills. Its monthly market is called Cose del Passato, Things from the Past, and has long occupied Piazza IV Novembre and the surrounding porticoes on the first Sunday of the month. The regional market register lists around a changing mix of antiques, old books, collectables, porcelain, vintage clothes and objects from the twentieth century.
For travellers it adds another address to Vicenza’s unusually broad collecting circuit, alongside rare-book dealers, historic printing collections and antique markets elsewhere in the province.
