MOUNTAIN GOLF IN VICENZA
Play an award winning mountain golf course at 1,000 metres, then stay for the spa
18 holes, golf academy, restaurant, boutique hotel and mountain spa
Golf in Vicenza reaches 1,000 metres here. Eighteen holes cross meadows and woods on the Asiago Plateau, on a course redesigned by mountain golf specialist Peter Harradine. The plateau makes the walk remarkably gentle for a mountain course, while a golf academy, restaurant, boutique hotel and mountain spa share the same address.

About
For golfers looking for mountain golf in Italy, this is one of Vicenza’s strongest reasons to pack the clubs. The course plays at around 1,000 metres above sea level, yet the plateau avoids the severe gradients associated with many mountain layouts. In 2015, Il Mondo del Golf named it best mountain course, while the Italian Golf Federation recognised its landscape through the Impegnati nel Verde programme.
THE COURSE
The original nine hole course was created in the 1960s. In 1990, Peter Harradine, known for his work on mountain golf courses, redesigned and expanded it to 18 holes. Today the course is par 71, crossing meadows and woodland on terrain that can comfortably be played on foot. Golf carts are available for players who prefer them.
VISITING GOLFERS
You do not need to be a club member to play. Visiting golfers can reserve a tee time subject to availability, while a recognised handicap is generally required for the main course. Beginners can use the driving range, putting green and approach area, or book individual and group lessons through the Golf Academy.
STAY AFTER THE 18TH
The golf course is only part of the address. The complex also includes Longalaita restaurant, a boutique hotel and a mountain spa, making it useful for a golf weekend in Vicenza as well as a single round. The restaurant welcomes outside guests subject to opening hours and availability, so non golfers can join for lunch or dinner.
MAKE IT A VICENZA MOUNTAIN STAY
Golf can be combined with trekking, Nordic walking and mountain biking across the Vicenza plateau. In winter the landscape changes use again, with cross country skiing replacing the summer golf season.
