ABOUT
There is a beautiful moment in early spring when the cherry growing hills of Vicenza become covered in white blossom.
The Sentiero dei Ciliegi, marked as Route 5, begins in Pianezze and passes through Roveredo Alto towards Marostica, combining cherry orchards, country lanes, woodland and views across the Vicenza plain.
The full route takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, with 252 metres of elevation gain. The shorter Route 5A takes around one hour and includes a woodland section, a stream and some surprisingly steep passages. [1]
For those who enjoy walking in company, the nearby town of Colceresa also hosts the annual Marcia del Ciliegio in Fiore on Easter Monday. In 2026, the event offered routes of 5, 6, 12 and 20 km, including an accessible option. [2]
