At Vicenza's CioccolandoVi festival, speaking English comes with an unusually persuasive incentive: something sweet. On 24 and 25 October 2026, The Great Chocolate Escape by Wall Street English invites visitors to solve clues, tackle riddles and complete team challenges in Piazza dei Signori, the historic square beside Palladio's Basilica. A particularly entertaining addition to a weekend exploring one of northern Italy's lesser known cities.

THE GREAT CHOCOLATE ESCAPE

Wall Street English has devised a chocolate themed challenge for the 21st edition of CioccolandoVi, Vicenza's annual artisan chocolate festival. Participants follow clues, solve puzzles and work together to complete a mission in English, with a sweet prize waiting at the finish.

The game takes place in Piazza dei Signori, beneath the Renaissance architecture of Andrea Palladio, on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 2026.

PINOCCHIO GOES TO PASTRY SCHOOL

There is another rather tempting appointment for younger visitors. Mondo di Bu, In the Land of Toys, is a children's pastry workshop inspired by Pinocchio, the mischievous wooden puppet from Carlo Collodi's Italian classic. It takes place at Vicenza's Diocesan Museum, with free admission and advance booking.
