A GARDEN MADE OF STRANGERS’ MEMORIES ↓

Imagine entering a garden where every flower, object and anonymous message contains a piece of someone else's life. On 23 and 24 October 2026, Il Giardino delle cose sperse, or The Garden of Lost Things, brings an immersive, participatory art installation to Vicenza, Italy. Created by Consorzio Balsamico with Giada Borgatti and Virginia Franchi, the artwork combines artificial flowers, reclaimed materials, words and personal memories in a garden that visitors can explore freely.

Read the memories of people you have never met. Leave a sentence, make a drawing or record a message in your own voice. If someone else's memory feels especially familiar, you can even choose to take it with you. Every contribution changes the installation during its two days in Vicenza, making visitors part of the creative process.

THE ART OF SECOND CHANCES ↓

The location adds another dimension to the story. Cooperativa Insieme, active in Vicenza since 1979, works with reclaimed goods, social inclusion and employment opportunities. Here, discarded materials become the setting for memories that might otherwise disappear. The garden gives forgotten objects and personal stories another chance to be seen.

On October 23 and 24, 2026, Cooperativa Sociale Insieme will host "Il Giardino delle Cose Sperse" (The Garden of Lost Things), an interactive, immersive installation designed by Consorzio Balsamico. This event is part of the Stardust Festival 2026 and the neighborhood theater project Arcipelago
