FARM FOOD EXPERIENCE · VICENZA
Make goat cheese on an organic farm in Vicenza
A working dairy farm with 260 goats, 80 sheep and its own cheesery
Milk from around 260 goats and 80 sheep is processed in the farm’s own dairy into fresh and aged cheeses, some matured on untreated wooden boards. Visitors can join seasonal educational programmes that move through animal care, the vegetable garden and practical cheesemaking, then finish at the farm shop with goat and sheep cheese, yogurt, eggs, organic pork products and Marano corn flour.

At the northern edge of Marano Vicentino, Aidi is a working organic farm with around 260 goats, 80 sheep, pigs and laying hens, plus its own dairy. The animals are fed largely with forage grown by the farm, while goat and sheep milk is made into fresh and aged cheeses using vegetable rennet, with some cheeses matured on untreated wooden boards. It is also an officially registered fattoria didattica, an Italian educational farm in the Vicentine Prealps. Depending on the programme, visitors can get involved in animal care, vegetable garden work, nature activities and practical workshops.
