FARM TO TABLE · VICENZA
50 vegetable varieties, old grains and a restaurant fed by its own fields
Organic vegetables, sourdough bread, a wood fired oven, farm shop and seasonal restaurant at one Bassano address
Come for lunch and you can see where much of it started. Conca d’Oro grows more than 50 varieties of vegetables, including Broccolo di Bassano and pink Bassano onion, mills old wheat varieties for its bakery and serves bread baked with sourdough in a wood fired oven. The restaurant menu changes with what is ready in the fields, while the farm shop sells produce harvested that day, bread, focaccia and preserves made on site.

About
book workshops following grain from field to bread, or exploring bees and honey.
In 2025, La Cucina Italiana came to Conca d’Oro and called its restaurant one of the reasons not to miss this social farm outside Bassano. Gambero Rosso also lists it among its reviewed trattorias. Just outside Bassano, Conca d’Oro grows more than 50 varieties of vegetables, including Broccolo di Bassano, pink Bassano onion and local radicchio. The restaurant kitchen looks directly onto the fields, so dishes can stay on the menu for a few months, or last after a week when the crop does.
Bread comes from the farm too, made with sourdough and stone ground organic flour from old wheat varieties including Verna and Gentil Rosso, then baked in a wood fired oven fuelled partly with pruning wood from the property. Conca d’Oro also trains and employs people with cognitive disabilities across the fields, bakery, kitchen and shop, as part of the ordinary working life of the farm. Why go: for a Bassano lunch where the restaurant, bakery, vegetable fields and social farm all belong to the same address.
