UNIQUE BREAKFAST & STAY · VICENZA

Sleep above a mountain bakery baking since 1826

Three rooms above a historic bakery, with fresh bread, croissants, cakes and Asiago cheese downstairs in the morning

Keple has been baking in Asiago since 1826. Today three B&B rooms sit directly above the bakery, so breakfast starts downstairs with bread, croissants, cakes, focaccia, pizza and other products made on site. One room looks onto the town centre, another has a round bed beneath large windows for the night sky, and all three put you a few steps from Asiago’s main square.

About

Panificio Pasticceria Bar Keple, Asiago In Asiago, the Bonomo family has been baking bread for almost 200 years. Today the counter still mixes mountain bakery staples with sourdough and stone ground flours, pizzas topped with fresh Asiago cheese, biscuits, cakes and plumcakes. The best part is upstairs: Keple also has three B&B rooms above the bakery.

WHY GO
The bakery is downstairs, the three guest rooms are directly above it, and breakfast comes from the same ovens that have been baking here since 1826. Expect warm bread, croissants, cakes, focaccia and savoury bakes made on site.
Each room has a different character. Camera dei Cuori, the Hearts Room, looks over Piazza del Duomo and the gardens. Camera della Montagna, the Mountain Room, has a more traditional alpine feel. Camera sotto le Stelle, the Under the Stars Room, is the most unusual, with a round bed beneath large roof windows made for looking up at the night sky.

WHAT TO EAT DOWNSTAIRS
Keple makes common and multigrain breads, sourdough loaves with Italian stone ground flour, biscuits, cakes and plum cakes. The bakery also produces pizza and focaccia topped with fresh Asiago cheese, so breakfast can move very easily from sweet to savoury.
